Spread across two regions, Ribeiro and Valdeorras, pictured is the Valle de Avia, the spiritual home of Treixadura. Their vineyards are spread throughout the Ribeiro region, in a valley formed by the Miño rivers and their tributaries Avia and Arnoia, a privileged location that favours the cultivation of the vineyards, having ideal weather conditions.

The soils, of granite origin and south orientation, are arranged in "costeiras", the name that was historically given to the best slopes exposed to the sun, where the best grapes are grown. In addition, it is a territory where thermal springs are a great differential, making the area one of the most important thermal tourism destinations in Europe.
