Who is he? A passionate winemaker, in the words of Jancis Robinson a ‘Creative Madman’, based in Castilla y Leon, where he owns Rueda, Toro & Ribera del Duero estates. He is a consultant winemaker & producer in multiple regions.
His ‘non-conformist’ wines are what set him apart from his competition, he is an innovator and trend-setter. The award of 99 points has been given by Premiers Vin Duero for his Whisba, Whisky-Barrel-Aged Toro, a gorgeous wine, presented beautiful with scores that increase in every vintage. It is his most popular wine across Western and Central Europe, and unbelievably, we have never sold a bottle here in the UK…
