More than just a vineyard…
This region of Galicia, sees over 100 hours more sunshine, than it’s neighbouring subzone, it’s proximity to the sea, a mere 20km and position within the Miño River Valley, helps to maintain the acidity & freshness in the grapes, in this mild Atlantic climate. The soils of this vineyard are a mineral rich mixture of schist and limestone.
Altos de Torona is the largest single vineyard in Rías Baixas, with 94 hectares of enormous biodiversity oriented to the south on the slopes of mount Galeno, in Tomiño-O Rosal.
The Rías Baixas is a space of pure biodiversity, where over 91 species of flora and 71 of fauna coexist, protected by a plan for the conservation of this natural habitat that produces wines of Atlantic characteristics, with strong character, freshness and elegance.

Quality Production
Since 2003, we have been perfecting production of our grapes from the Altos de Torona vineyard in the O’Rosal sub-region of the Rías Baixas. The grapes undergo cold-maceration, which brings colour, enhances the fruit flavours, and builds concentration before fermentation.
The grapes are then fermented in stainless steel, to maintain the freshness and acidity that this region is famed for.
We then age the wine on fine lees, providing weight, texture & salinity for six months, only releasing the wine when it’s ready and in all of the key components are in perfect balance.
The People Behind The Wine
Our team of winemakers, is led by Pablo Ibañez Sarmiento. It is his responsibility to select the finest grapes and convert them into a beautiful, aromatic, concentrated premium wine.
