Bodegas Alçeño, Jumilla

Bodegas Alçeño was founded in 1870 by a wine merchant named Pedro Luis Martinez. Located in Jumilla, the vineyard is still owned by the family and is run by the 4th generation, it is the oldest commercial winery in the area. The winery has a capacity of 3,500,000 liters, of which 75% is in concrete, 15% oak and 5% stainless steel, part of the winery that was founded in 1870 still has original barrels and cones since the year of its foundation. Having excellent conditions for organic farming, the vineyard has an altitude from 400 to 950 meters. Possessing quality systems to control all of the production, aging and bottling processes, so that the wine reaches the consumer in optimal conditions.
